The long-term tourism strategy for Tauhara North No.2 Trust is to own all of the tourism ventures within the rohe of Ngati Tahu-Ngati Whaoa. For ventures outside of the rohe, it is about having sound partnerships and strategic alliances in a consortium distribution company that help bring manuhiri into the rohe.
Te Pā Tū (previously Tamaki Māori Village) is owned by Tauhara North No.2 Trust. Te Pā Tū celebrates our history, generates employment, and honours te taiao (natural environment) with generous, genuine, and beautifully curated knowledge-sharing events. Te Pā Tū is intended as a tourism operation that gives more than it takes – sustaining land, place, stories and people.
