The long-term tourism strategy for Tauhara North No2 Trust is to own all of the tourism ventures within the rohe of Ngati Tahu-Ngati Whaoa. For ventures outside of the rohe, it is about having sound partnerships and strategic alliances in a consortium distribution company that help bring manuhiri into the rohe.
Te Pā Tū (previously Tamaki Māori Village) is owned by Tauhara North No 2 Trust. Te Pā Tū celebrates our history, generates employment, and honours te taiao (natural environment) with generous, genuine, and beautifully curated knowledge-sharing events. Te Pā Tū is intended as a tourism operation that gives more than it takes – sustaining land, place, stories and people.
