Sports, Art and Maori Culture Grant are intended to support participation in events and activities that have an educational component; and to reduce financial barriers to participation in Sports, Arts and Maori Cultural events and activities.

Eligibility

  1. Registered Owners, descendants and whanau as recognized by Tauhara North No.2 Trust may apply for Sports, Art and Maori Cultural Grants.
  2. Sports, Art and Maori Cultural Grants are allocated to individual participants only (clubs and organisations are ineligible).
  3. Coaches, managers or other support people are not eligible to receive a Sports, Art and Maori Cultural Grant
  4. Sports, Art and Maori Cultural Grants are allocated on the basis that either the activity takes place in New Zealand or the applicant resides in New Zealand.

Grant Value

Sports, Art and Maori Cultural Grants are allocated on the basis of category. This means that applicants can apply for grants for each of the categories Arts, Culture or Sports.

All eligible individuals are entitled to:

  • Up to $500.00 per calendar year per category

Definitions

Sport – Any sport recognized by Sport NZ (please refer to the website)

Art – Any art related activity based on the NZ Curriculum (Visual Art, Dance, Drama, Music)

Māori Cultural – Any Mātauranga Māori including, Kura Reo, Matatini (Regional & National), Wananga (Kaikaranga & Kaikorero)

 

Applications may be submitted at anytime within six months of the event or activity taking place.
