Tangihanga Grant - Information

Tauhara North No.2 Trust offer Tangihanga Grants to the value of $1100.00 to all Owners, descendants and whanau. More than one Tangihanga Grant application can be made each year, per whanau, but only one grant per person who has passed will be granted.

The following criteria must be met in order to apply for a Tangihanga Grant:

Applicants must be over 18 years of age
A photocopy of the Death Certificate or Death Notice in the newspaper must be provided with the grant application.
Each grant application must be submitted within 12 months of the deceased persons passing.

The Tangihanga Grant is available for a registered whanau member who has passed away and may be applied for by a whanau representative of that person. Only one grant is paid towards the deceased tangi. Applications may be made within 12 months of the date of their passing.
