Sports, Art and Māori Culture Grant are intended to support participation in events and activities that have an educational component; and to reduce financial barriers to participation in Sports, Arts and Māori Cultural events and activities.
Eligibility
- Registered Owners, descendants and whanau as recognized by Tauhara North No.2 Trust may apply for Sports, Art and Māori Cultural Grants.
- Sports, Art and Māori Cultural Grants are allocated to individual participants only (clubs and organisations are ineligible).
- Coaches, managers or other support people are not eligible to receive a Sports, Art and Māori Cultural Grant.
Grant Value
Sports, Art and Māori Cultural Grants are allocated on the basis of category. This means that applicants can apply for grants for each of the categories Arts, Māori Culture or Sports.
All eligible individuals are entitled to:
- Up to $500.00 (NZD) per calendar year per category
Definitions
Sport – Any sport recognized by the equivalent of Sport NZ in your country.
Art – Any art-related activity. (Visual Art, Dance, Drama, Music)
Māori Cultural – Any Mātauranga Māori including Kura Reo, Matatini (Regional & National), Wananga (Kaikaranga & Kaikorero)
Note: Grants will only cover fees (including event membership fees and registration fees) and Kākahu / Uniforms (including Kapahaka and sports teams).
