Kia ora e te whānau,

We are pleased to inform you all that we’ll be hosting an online wānanga coming up regarding GeoShot. This is an opportunity for our whānau to hear a bit of korero about Geothermal Energy, or GEOSHOT.
Date / Time: 6 pm – 7 pm, 28th May, 2026
A link will be provided the day before (27th May), so keep an eye out for your email.
The session will be recorded and shared so that those who are unable to attend can watch it later. Alternatively, we will present (Kanohi ki te kanohi) at the upcoming Matariki wānanga.
What is Geoshot?
GEOSHOT is sourced from water heated by Magma deep under the Earth’s crust.
The water is heated to temperatures over 364°C (705°F) and to 220 Bars of pressure. It then enters into a state called ‘Supercritical.’ When it’s in this state, it can hold up to 3x as much energy as conventional geothermal fluids. It could potentially be the world’s powerful new, clean, renewable energy source.
